Sketchbooks

Holding a sketchbook and documenting my surroundings daily is a deeply ritualistic act of grounding myself into the very essence of creativity and mindful living that I have practice for over 30 years. The sketches and books take on varied and evolving forms, shaped by the shifting events and activities that unfold around me. Often, my work consists of small, handheld books, thoughtfully accompanied by my trusted watercolours, pens, and pencils. At other times, I reach for larger, more expansive books, enabling me to capture a greater abundance of ideas and intricate observations all at once. Either way, sketching without concern for rigid format or strict function is profoundly liberating, allowing a natural, free-flowing exchange of ideas and conceptual thinking to emerge fully in the present moment.
