MAPPING MOVEMENT
Automatic movement and an instinctive reaction to the previous layers of colour and shape define this expressive work. It is the meaningful result of a heartfelt collaboration with my young son, who laid down spontaneous lines as I carefully anchored them with shape and form, together creating intricate maps of movement and emotion.

Working with automatic responses to the forms created by trace monotype, this work is a profound expression of the fluidity of water and its constant interaction with the stones that lie gently in its path. It captures the delicate dance between movement and stillness, revealing the subtle dialogue between natural elements as they coexist and shape one another.
